Mrs. Bessie Hamm, age 61 died at her home at 415 S. Washington Street at 11:15 Saturday morning. She had been ill for several years and the cause of her death was a complication of diseases. She was a member of the First Christian Church of this city.  Mrs. Hamm was born Aug 25, 1881 in Waynetown the daughter of Benjamin and Evangeline Earl. She was a life-long resident of this community. She was married to Lorenzo Hamm who preceded her in death.  

Surviving are two sons, Paul and Russell Hamm, both of this city; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Bastion of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Lola Rardin of Newport; two sisters, Mrs. Samantha Grenard of Waynetown; Mrs. Lessler Joel of Akron, Ohio; one brother Earl of Crawfordsville and two grandsons.  One brother preceded Mrs. Hamm in death. The remains will be at the home of Mrs. Helen Bastion, 315 Binford Street, a daughter until Monday noon when the body will be removed to the Profitt & Sons Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral Parlor at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. Ralph Gronseth officiating.  Burial will be made in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery... kbz
